A Fort Smith man, who allegedly thought he was going to meet a 15-year-old to have sex in Van Buren City Park, met several officers instead Friday.
Police arrested Marcus Torrell Tucker, 26, on for Internet Stalking of a Child. Investigators say Tucker met the teen on Facebook and began texting the teen’s mobile phone.
The victim’s mother became concerned after seeing the inappropriate messages on her child’s phone and contacted police. Det. Jonathan Wear says an investigator used to the teen’s phone to pose at the 15-year-old and arranged a meeting with Tucker.
Tucker was booked into the Crawford County Detention Center with no bond.
