Porn | Elk Grove Man Admits To Producing Child Porn

Bradley Dayley now faces 60 years to life in state prison for his sex crimes in addition to 15 to 40 years in federal prison for the pornography charges.

Federal authorities say he photographed and videotaped his lewd acts with a girl who was 9 years old when he started molesting her.

The Elk Grove police along with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office investigated Dayley, leading to his arrest in 2009.

"It took two years getting there, but it’s a great job by the prosecutor and everybody involved," Elk Grove Det. Kevin Papineau told the Citizen last month after Dayley’s county case ended.

Papineau led the investigation after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children forwarded him Dayley’s photographs. The images were earlier distributed on the Internet and discovered in Europe.

One photograph featured a garbage can that displayed the Elk Grove’s city seal, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Papineau spent 28 days studying the photographs and following a trail that led to Dayley’s Elk Grove home.

None of the victims or their parents contacted the police about Dayley before his arrest.

"There was no indication that anybody else knew what was going on," Papineau said last month.

Police searched Dayley’s home computer and discovered hundreds of sexually explicit photographs and videos of one of his victims. Detectives determined they were taken at his home.

Federal authorities recently reported that Dayley admitted to performing sexual acts on the victim and recording them. He also reportedly had thousands of explict images and videos taken of other children.

Elk Grove police also linked Dayley to a second victim who was 16 when he began molesting her.

Dayley will be sentenced in the Sacramento Superior Court on Sept. 23 and he’ll later be sentenced in federal court on Jan. 6.

He also faces a $250,000 fine for each of his federal charges, an order of restitution to the victims, and a lifelong supervised release.
