Police arrested a 31-year-old man on Tuesday, accused of driving from Polk County to Orlando for sex with a teenage girl.
Arresting documents state that the encounter was a setup. Posing as the mother of a teen girl, an Orlando officer offered online to arrange a sexual encounter.
Investigators say Jose Silvestre Garza, of Lake Wales, was told several times that the girl was 13, but still drove to Orlando to have sex with her.
An arrest report states that Garza was taken into custody in Orlando, and later confessed to police investigators that he'd arranged for sex with the teen.
Garza was jailed on charges of attempted sexual battery of a child, obscene communication and unlawful use of a two-way device.
He remained in the Orange County Jail on Wednesday evening, records show, with bail set at $20,600.
