On 10 July 2011 lesbians and our friends will be taking over the Sydney Opera House for a night of great music, dance and a celebration of community.
Two thousand lesbians gathered at the Sydney Opera House 20 years ago for a special gala musical event. This year lesbians will be back in the house with many of our original artists plus a whole lot more.
The 1991 performers Judy Small, Deborah Cheetham, Anique, Kath and Ini and Jive with Jeanette dancers will be joined by Bluehouse, Julie McCrossin, Shauna Jensen, Kerrianne Cox, Mignon, Donna-Maree Dunlop, Journey MC and Maeve Marsden. This exciting night also includes a drumming welcome by Tranceportation, a community choir directed by Ini and Dayamayii, a young singers showcase and an honouring of sisters who have passed.
