Some residents of Tarkwa who spoke on Citi FM on Wednesday could not disclose their names, but said they believed she committed the suicide to avoid public ridicule.
Meanwhile, the Bekwai Municipal Police Commander, Superintendent Felix Kwasi Cosmos, said the death of one of the ladies was reported in Tarkwa and was yet to be confirmed by the police.
He said that the search was still on for Alfred Acheson.
"The suicide has not been confirmed and I have not personally seen the videos myself.
"However, investigations are still ongoing. We have an arrest warrant for the suspect. We also have his pictures in the dailies and pleading with the public to assist with any information that may help with the investigation," he pleaded.
Alfred Acheson is believed to be a pornography producer who is alleged to have had sex with about a hundred ladies on tape.
Information reaching The New Crusading Guide indicates that the chief and the queen mother of the Bekwai Traditional Area had described the act by Alfred Acheson as a "total disgrace to the Bekwai township and the country at large." The queen mother has reportedly called on the police to speed up investigations to bring the suspected porn trader to book.
Some of the ladies who are seen in the video are said not to be natives of Bekwai, but from different parts of the country.
