Welcome to my new Twitter wallpaper, America. In fact, this baby's getting blown up poster-size and going on my living room wall. I'm sure no one will object.
So freaking awesome. As you know, this is from The Daily Show , as Jon Stewart gave his take recently on the Greatest Gloria Allred Press Conference Ever . In it, a San Francisco Giants fan she is representing claimed that Braves pitching coach Roger McDowell made homophobic comments and lewd gestures toward him and his family at a game in April. The gesture pictured here - a baseball bat being thrust, well, you see it there - is what Allred says McDowell did at the game in question.
Now, the video has been adorned with a hot porn movie soundtrack, to which I say it's about time.
Stewart's objection, as well as mine at the time, was that the little girls were right there at the press conference, being subjected to basically the same things that McDowell was accused of doing at the game. Scroll ahead to the 4:16 mark for all the fun:
McDowell has finished a two-week suspension and is due to return to the Braves' bench today, which is, by the way, part of Civil Rights Game Week at Turner Field. McDowell was also fined an undiscosed amount, and had to undergo sensitivity training.
"Roger has started the MLB-mandated sensitivity training and he's in the process of going through that now," Braves general manager Frank Wren said. "This is an effort to help him understand what happened in San Francisco and help him going forward. He also has reached out to the family and apologized to them directly. He's in the process of going through the sensitivity training now and is looking forward to returning to join the team."
See you at the game! Boom chicka wow wow chicka boom, chicka …
