BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - A Virginia man who formerly lived in Stamford is facing sentencing for producing and distributing child pornography involving a girl who was 8-years-old when the abuse began.
William Oehne of Amelia, Va., is scheduled to be sentenced Tuesday in Bridgeport.
Federal prosecutors say Oehne took photographs of himself engaging in sex acts with the girl from 2004 to 2006 and distributed them over the Internet.
Authorities say Oehne used tricks and threats and enticed the girl by promising her clothes and electronics.
Prosecutors say Oehne should receive a 50-year prison sentence. They say in court papers his crimes "imposed an indelible and painful harm on a child" and that by putting the images on the Internet, he ensured her lifelong victimization.
