Porn | Child Porn Case Postponed

Nine family members accused of running a child pornography ring appeared briefly in the Pretoria North Regional Court on Thursday, the SABC reported.

The case against them was postponed to May 20.

The State asked for a postponement as it was still awaiting the finalisation of some affidavits and also waiting for permission from the National Director of Public Prosecutions to add a charge of racketeering to the charge sheet.

The family faces charges of rape, indecent assault, sexual grooming of children and the manufacturing and distribution of child pornography.

Numerous children, including biological and foster children, were removed from the family's care and placed in places of safety. -
