KINGSPORT, Tenn. - A former Bristol middle school teacher accused of possessing nearly 600 images of child pornography faces a Sept. 12 trial in Sullivan County.
The Kingsport Times-News reports that a judge set the trial date Tuesday as a prosecutor argued that bail for the former band director should be increased.
Randall Scott McCoy, who is 48, is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor for allegedly possessing the images.
Several calls to a number listed for McCoy's attorney rang busy.
A hearing on whether to increase McCoy's bail was set for May 11.
